The overview for Radiodays Europe 2011 is published. It is an extensive program covering a multitude of interests among radio people.

- Here you can mingle with radio colleagues from all over Europe and get inspired by the best practices in programme making.  You will be updated on the very latest in radio use of new technology.  And you will get the big strategic picture of where the radio medium is heading.  Wonderful Copenhagen is certainly the place to be from Wednesday 16th to Friday 18th of March this year!

Says project manager Rolf Brandrud and points to some of the highlights in the program:

THE BEST CONTENT ON RADIO. Where are they to be found today – the most inspiring programme hosts, the most innovative practices and the most successful radio channels?  Listen to Stephen Nolan, Rosario Pellecchia og Annika Lantz about their roles as programme hosts.  Open up for Marina Petrillos blogradio.  Get great tips from Dennis Clark – the man behind Ryan Seacrest, the leading radio- and tv-personality in the US.  And get to know New Yorks two greatest success channels, Z100 and WNYC.

THE BEST PEOPLE IN RADIO.  Young, hungry and creative talent – how do we recruit them to radio and coach them?  Somethin Else, DR and SR have experience to share.  But what about us who already have been in radio for years?  The Dutch creativity coach Leo Dijkgraaf knows how to inspire groups into getting the bright ideas.  And CBC, Canada has been running successful processes in involving the whole staff in program development.

MORE MONEY TO RADIO.  Find out how new research from UK and Germany can help you create more effective radio ads.  Be inspired by sparkling promotions from Germany and UK.  And get the secret formulaes of Absolute Radio UK that will bring them 50% of their revenue from other sources than radio ads.

RADIO ON THE MOBILE.  Radio listening on the mobile has taken off with the radio apps for smartphones – and now all radio stations must have one.  But what can radio expect from the mobile market, how can they earn money on popular apps and how can they avoid being trapped by monopolistic portals demanding 30% of the income?  Listen to Mobile trends and Apps Mania.

RADIO ON THE NET.  Can the net replace DAB as well as FM/UKW as the main distribution of radio?  Or is it rather supplementing distribution for long tail content and an interactive arena for innovation and extending the radio brand?  What is the best net strategy for radio broadcasters in the coming years?  Listen to how BBC shall become ”slimmer and better” – and how the UK Radioplayer as ”the Google of radio” shall release the web radio potential in markets with nearly universal web access.

2011 AS THE TIPPING POINT FOR DIGITAL RADIO?  Germany is with its 81 millions the largest radio market in Europe.  In September Germany will get regular national radio channels for the first time since WW2 – and they will get it in DAB+.  We also see the UK, France and Norway targeting 2015 and 2017 as the years for shutoff of their FM/UKW networks.  What effect will this have for the European radio markets and the attitude of the car industry and the mobile phone companies to digital radio?  Radiodays Europe offer an update on the very latest developments in relation to digitalisation around Europe – and the theme will certainly be touched upon also in the opening session where BBCs Tim Davie and four other top level radio executives  discuss Where will radio be in five years?
